you know, i'm glad blogger doesn't work like hotmail. else this blog may have been deactivated already. it's more than a month since i last posted.

during this period of time, many things happened. it has been the end of...

1. SYF, although we didn't manage to clinch what we wanted - the gold with honours. therefore it was so unhonourable that we didn't dare announce we got a gold during assembly. so nothing was mentioned about it at all and i really hate that. it's like our work wasn't recognised.

then again, we did our best, so there's no point wallowing in self-pity but to continue to work towards our CONCERT. (later in this post)

2. Lv Yuan by CCC, a tj chinese drama production featuring ye xian in one of the plays... his acting was great! all 3 plays had sad themes in them, although certain parts are not quite understandable... so i had to consult yx for explanation of some scenes after the show... but i enjoyed the entire show very much... kudos to jodi and her team for their hard work.

3. The Amazing Race 7, in which uchenna and joyce won. luckily they didn't lose just because of not having enough cab fare. romber lost, thankfully, anyway they won a million dollars before already in Survivor: All Stars. plus, they had a televised wedding on CBS on 24th may... which about makes them the hottest reality tv couple currently.

4. Survivor 10, in which Tom won as expected. Ian was quite silly to just give up the chance to be the final two to katie... if not he could have stood a good chance to be the sole survivor. at 41 years old and still being so strong, Tom rightfully deserves to win this game and i think the New York fire department is definitely proud to have him as a fireman and possibly, a spokesman... haha

5. Desperate Housewives, which ended in the US on 22nd may... of cos s'pore won't show the finale (episode 23) till a few weeks later... u have to resort to high-tech means to watch it now... which i already did. =) it was a cliffhanger and i can hardly wait for season 2 this fall. of cos, thanks to benjamin who recommended this wonderful show...

6. Basketball finals, an event that the tjc basketball (boys) team has never went in for the last 15 years and a champions trophy that the school last got 20 years ago. the principal mobilised the whole school down to toa payoh to cheer them on, perhaps learning her lesson of sending not many classes to support the volleyball finals some time ago and hence losing the title. the basketball finals were exciting, especially in the last minute when tj and hci were in a tie but tj subsequently scored 8 points within a flash to win the title! i didn't watch the entire match though, thanks to our beloved (pui!) SC's wonderful arrangement of boarding buses on a first come first served basis (chiong ah!), exemplifying singaporeans' typical kiasu spirit, and some say tjc's too. anyway, it was the first time so many tjcians went to somewhere to support the school, something so familiar for me since u get to support VS every year during x-country and track finals.

7. The New Paper Big Walk, an event which i participated for the first time in my life. i went with wy, hc, rachel and cy. oops, not forgetting balloon man (or, uncle) leonard. we didn't start the walk at 7.30 am but bought some foodstuff and drinks before we began the frantic rush to complete the walk by 11 am so that we could still eat mcdonald's breakfast meals. we didn't eat in the end though...

8. AJBand&CO concert - Rhapsody II, held at the esplanade. i must say the school really supports them by having a concert at esplanade again this year. quite a nice concert, although their band's standard is a silver only. there was not one, but two pieces featuring collaborations between the CO and band, which were interesting to hear.

to be continued in the next post...
