i decided to revert back to tag-board, even though shoutbox is easier to use and can integrate into my blog better... bcos got more messages and memories.
i went to play pool at parkway yesterday with cY, leonard, zG and rachel. it's supposed to be sort of a "farewell" to leonard bcos he's going to beijing for 2 weeks in a few days time, but not that i care. i care more for my entertainment. ^_^ then again, it's not as if he's leaving forever, even though his LEP scholarship is. oh my, stop suaning him already.
i received a rather shocking sms in the morning too. it's from hL, official spokesperson for mr ho's holiday activities. she told us that we need to buy a ticket to the chalet... let's guess wad the ticket is.
Is the ticket...
(a) titbits?
(b) cooked food?
(c) $1 for entry?
(d) maths holiday homework?
(e) your girl/boyfriend? (ok i noe this is ridiculous)
the answer is (d) maths holiday homework. ohmigoodness, i haven't done any question at all. that's not the point, but now i know mr ho's motive for organising the chalet... to check on our holiday homework progress! and perhaps shun bian give us the schedule for extra lessons for the rest of the holidays? so evil. (x_x)
anyway, today is the library enrichment trip to the navy museum at sembawang and chinatown heritage centre (yuan mao guan). somehow everybody was not interested in asking questions, so the guide concluded very early that we were the non-responsive type and he can show us around in a very short time. maybe it's just tjcians, me included. looks like i'm not interested in the military at all... or maybe i know just too little?
then we went to yuan mao guan to have a malay tour guide speaking to us about chinatown's past, from the early chinese immigrants to the 1950s. how ironic. she was quite entertaining. this place managed to remake successfully the harsh living conditions of the chinese at that time. it's very real and having videos which play the interviews with some of the old people who lived there before are much better than some artificial figures sitting around moving and talking expressionlessly.
this enrichment trip was free, so even though it took up most of today's time, it's quite worth it lah. maybe i should bring my parents to yuan mao guan one of these days too...
